What it does

Sophos says its MDR service runs two production AI agents: a Triage Agent that activates on each new detection to extract entities, link duplicates, spot benign pen-test activity and set severity, and a Case Investigation Agent whose planning, execution and analysis sub-agents run queries, enrich IoCs and produce a verdict, timeline and recommended actions. Sophos analysts validate findings and act. The MDR page markets the service as an 'Agentic SOC' and states 52% of MDR cases are resolved end-to-end by AI. Separately, Sophos XDR has an AI Assistant for self-managed investigations. Sophos Ltd is incorporated in England and Wales with registered offices in Abingdon, UK; Taegis MDR (from Secureworks) is also sold in the Sophos portfolio.
