Terms of service

These terms apply to Agent Index (theagentindex.io) and to any paid service bought from Heritage Services, a sole proprietorship based in Maharashtra, India (GSTIN 27ACQPA3590B1ZS). By using the site or buying a service, you agree to them.

The directory

• Agent Index is a free, informational directory of AI agents. It is not legal, audit or security advice.
• We decide what is listed. Submitting a listing does not guarantee it will be published, and we may edit or remove listings to keep them accurate.
• The open dataset is licensed CC BY 4.0. Please credit "Agent Index by Heritage Services" when you reuse it.

Paid services

• Agent Index is 100% free to use through Q1 2027. You cannot buy inclusion, rankings, or editorial notes.
• Optional labelled sponsorships (featured category slots and newsletter sponsorships) may open in Q2 2027. Pricing will be confirmed in writing before you pay.
• All services are digital and delivered online: on the website or in the newsletter. Nothing is shipped.
• Paid placements, if any, are always labelled as sponsored. Payment never buys a benchmark score or changes editorial notes.
• You confirm that you are authorised to act for the vendor and that the content you send us is accurate and lawful. We may decline content that is misleading or unlawful.
• Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. Prices may be subject to GST as applicable.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Until Q2 2027 there is nothing to subscribe to. When optional sponsorships open, subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the service continues until then.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no spam, automated abuse of forms, attempts to break security, or false submissions.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep facts accurate and sourced but cannot guarantee that every detail is current. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a paid service is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
