What it does
StrongestLayer (StrongestLayer, Inc., San Francisco; seed-funded, with a Sorenson Capital-led seed and a 2026 round led by Inovia Capital) says its AI agents investigate every email in your business context and stop attacks without disrupting work. Its TRACE engine runs three reasoning models per email: one argues for legitimacy, one against, and one weighs sender history, infrastructure and behavioural baseline. Each verdict ships with a sourced reasoning trace. Three classes of agents sit on TRACE. Inbox Advisor is an Outlook and Gmail add-in that gives every employee a safe, caution or block verdict with reasons. Threat Triage delivers every alert pre-investigated with a MITRE ATT&CK mapping and an explainable verdict; StrongestLayer's triage page says analysts decide and do not have to dig. The vendor claims 80%+ less alert volume reaching analysts. Threat Hunt sweeps mailboxes by time window, group or org unit before remediation. The product deploys via API alongside Proofpoint or Mimecast (vendor says about 15 minutes, no MX changes) or can replace a gateway. It forwards detections and reasoning traces to Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Radiant Security or any SIEM via CEF, LEEF or JSON, webhook and REST API. Email content is processed in memory, and only metadata, verdicts and traces are kept. Pricing is custom per mailbox, with a 14-day proof of concept.
