What it does
Docusign announced Iris-powered agents for its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform at Momentum on May 21, 2026. Per Docusign, agents check agreements against company standards, suggest edits and automatically request the right approvals; monitor contracts in the background to flag risks, track obligations and trigger next steps; and can be custom-built in Agent Studio for deals, renewals and approvals. Docusign's FAQ says ready-to-deploy agents and custom agents can be used as steps in Workflow Builder, where their structured outputs trigger routing, approvals or escalations, alongside an Iris AI assistant, AI-assisted Worksheets and an MCP server. At launch the assistant, ready-to-deploy agents, Agent Studio custom agents and agents in workflows are generally available in English for customers hosted in North America data centres on IAM Professional, IAM Enterprise, IAM for Sales or IAM Platform plans; the MCP server is in global open beta. Docusign eSignature and CLM hold FedRAMP Moderate authorizations, but Docusign does not say the new agents are in those government boundaries, so FedRAMP is noted at platform level only.
