What it does
LegalOn's agents run inside its legal AI platform and return review-ready outputs for lawyers to approve. The February 2026 launch named five: Playbook (builds review playbooks from templates or guidelines), Intake (collects missing information on business requests), Translate (translates contracts and redlines), Triage (automated review of high-volume low-risk contracts; early access at launch) and Draft (announced as coming soon). The platform also covers AI contract review, matter management and a legal assistant. The parent, LegalOn Technologies (株式会社LegalOn Technologies), is a Tokyo company founded in 2017 as LegalForce, with a US subsidiary in San Francisco. On 19 Oct 2026 LegalOn Technologies began offering a beta of Agent Builder (エージェントビルダー, task automation) in LegalOn. A legal-specialised AI agent runs a chain of tasks automatically when a set condition is met. In this first release the trigger is an event in Matter Management, such as a new matter or a change of status or assignee, and the first use cases are legal consultations and matter assignment. Teams choose which information the agent can use, including whether it may search the web, and can block actions such as emailing the requester. LegalOn plans to add automatic first-pass contract review and lawyer-built workflow templates. Announced in Japan (patent pending).
