What it does
MNTSQ is a Tokyo legal-tech company whose MNTSQ CLM covers matter intake (案件管理), contract management and AI contract review for large Japanese companies. MNTSQ AI Agent launched in October 2025 and has been rolled out across its services in stages. The third stage, released in phases from September 7, 2026, brings the agent into Microsoft Word. Before the review starts, the agent proposes a review policy (レビュー方針) and lists missing information based on the deal background and the company's standards. Once the lawyer agrees, it reviews the draft against the company playbook and a standard playbook co-developed with the law firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, writes redlines (赤入れ) and comments with stated grounds directly into the Word document, and drafts comments for the matter-management record. The product page says it also finds relevant past matters, does initial legal analysis and suggests questions to put to the requesting business unit, using prompts written by lawyers. Approval workflows can be tracked step by step and linked to external ringi (approval) systems. Pricing is quote-based (initial setup fee plus monthly fee). Pages are in Japanese.
